Game 7 is on tonight, the Cleveland Cavs vs the golden state warriors and I couldn’t be more happy. None of the games have been close, but the games have displayed that the team making shots will win and it has also shown how both teams deserves to be here on the big stage. But this game is about legacy as much as it is about winning a ring. Lebron is the big one. He was given the title, “the King” when he was 16 years old and has lived up to the hype. He has been great throughout his career, proving to be an all time great athlete and an all time great player. But he has always been knocked down from Jordan and magic because of the rings. He went to his first finals in 2007 as he carried a young cavs team. They got swept by a superior Spurs team but everyone knew they were on the rise. Lebron continued to rise in his young career, but his teammates struggled. After another exit, Lebron became a free agent, and every team came after him with everything they had. But he ultimately decided to join forces with dwade and Chris bosh to form a super team. They went to the nba finals their first year but were outplayed by dirk and the Mavs and lost in 6. 0-2. The next year Lebron and crew went to the finals and crashed with a young but talented thunder with Durant, Westbrook, and harden. They won their first ring. Then they faced the spurs. You know the rest, they came back in game 6 against the Spurs after Ray Allen hit the game tying 3. Lebron went on to win his second ring. The Spurs came back the next year and won in 5. Lebron was 2-3 in the finals, but was now in the discussion for best player ever with 2 rings and more to come. He was a free agent, and instead of going back to Miami he decided I come home to Cleveland and help them win a championship. In his first year, the cavs got to the finals but the injuries of Kyrie and love led to them losing In 6 to the Warriors despite Lebron having a historic finals performance. Now to this year. After a rough start, Lebron has come back to score back to back 41 point games and has been downright dominant. He has come back to force a game 7 in oracle against one of the best teams ever in the golden state warriors. Lebron needs to be special to beat this team, he needs to be ALL TIME GREAT. But if he loses he will be 2-5 in the finals. Jordan was 6-0. It will haunt him forever to have lost 5 finals. This game seven isn’t just for the championship, it’s about lebrons legacy.
