Top 10 NFL teams going into playoffs

10. Dolphins: Ever since jay ajayi has been able to run the ball, it’s completely changed the team and the outlook of the season. He is one of four running backs ever with 3 separate 200 yard games. Having him running the ball has taken pressure of the quarterbacks and the defense has played well. Props to Adam Gase for turning the season around. Don’t think they do much in the playoffs, especially with Ryan tannehill out but I like the direction they are headed in.

9. Redskins: I like how the Redskins play. They look and feel like a playoff team. Kirk cousins is 2nd in the NFL in yards behind drew Brees and is 5th in the NFL in QBR. There is no sugar coating it he has been great this year. The defense hasn’t been good especially against the run but that high powered offense keeps them in games.

8. Seahawks- the Seahawks are two different teams. The home Seahawks and the Road Seahawks. They are 7-1 at home but 2-4-1 on the road. And the games they lost have been ugly. Like 14-5 @the bucs ugly. Russell Wilson hasn’t been as good as last year and the oline has been awful. The legion of boom is missing the key piece as Earl Thomas is out for the year. Since he left, the defense has given up 30+ points twice in three weeks. I’m not saying Seattle can’t go to the super bowl but I just don’t trust them.

7. Chiefs: The Chiefs are another team I don’t fully trust. They don’t have enough playmakers on offense to keep this up. Kelce is the best tight end in the NFL with gronk out and Tyreek hill is a stud but do I really trust Alex smith against tom Brady and Ben roethisberger. No. I do love Andy Reid though and he will keep them in it.

6. Giants: yes there defense is great but there offense? It’s hard to watch at times. The running game is inconsistent, there only sources of a passing game is a slant to Odell or a touchdown pass to Shepard. Eli is having a bad year, and it doesn’t help that the oline can’t give Eli a clean pocket. But despite all of that I still like there chances to make a run. The defense is so good. They are 3rd in points allowed and the 7th best defense against the run. They just shutdown opponents and it’s really fun to watch. Landon Collins has broken out this year. So that’s the formula. Slow down the other team long enough until Odell makes a play. It’s risky but if Eli gets hot watch out.

5. Falcons: There offense is the best in the NFL. Matt Ryan leads the league in QBR. But that defense is not good. They do have Vic Beasley who leads the NFL in sacks with 14.5. But the rest of the defense is suspect. The formula for them. Outscore the other team and honestly I think they can play with anyone with how well they pass and run the ball.

4. Steelers: it’s all about the three B’s. Ben bell and brown. These three are the whole offense. Ben is always good. Bell is the best running back in the NFL. His patience is breathtaking. Brown is a top 5 NFL receiver. So they have the pieces on offense. They just need the defense to contain the other offense just enough. When the Steelers score 20+, they have won every game but one.

3. Cowboys: they are really good. There is no other way to put it. They have a great QB who is 2nd in the NFL in QBR and top 5 in completion percentage. Zeke leads the league in yards. Dez is still a good target. They have the best oline in football. And even though there defense has no names besides Sean lee, they play really hard and just fly around the field. David irving has emerged as a pass rusher and he is playing well.

2. Packers: this might be a surprise to you, but it shouldn’t be. Rodgers has found his groove. For the past 6 games, Rodgers has thrown 14 touchdowns and has thrown 0 interceptions. The defense has played much better the past couple weeks and as a result they have won 5 straight. The only weakness for the team is there pass defense. The playoffs is all about who is hot at the right time and the packers are hotter then anyone in football

1. Patriots: do I really need to explain this one. Brady is having another great year. The coaching staff has the defense playing well and ever since the Jamie Collins trade, the pats defense has improved especially Malcolm butler. Just a well oiled machine just cannot be stopped.

NFL DRAFT NOTES AND Big Board

Scouting notes Players 1-15

  1. Myles Garrett- EDGE Texas A&M:

Garrett is the best EDGE prospect since Von Miller. He has a quick first step, great bend off the edge, a variety of pass rush moves, quick hands that are also strong, and he plays hard. He is the complete package and the best player in the draft.

    Grade: 96

    Pro comp: Jadeveon Clowney

  2. Leonard Fornette-RB LSU- Fornette has the potential to go down as an all time great. He has elite size, great speed, breakaway speed, yards after contact, receiving ability, vision is pretty good. He is the best running back prospect since Adrian Peterson and has all the tools to become a HOF type player.

    Pro comp: Adrian Peterson

    Grade: 94

  3.  Jonathan Allen: DE BAMA- Allen is a great prospect coming out of alabama. He is very versatile, lining up all over the field. He is good against the run and has a variety of pass rush moves. He has sneaky quickness and has athleticism. He is the best interior pass rusher in the draft. He is a pretty sure fire prospect.

    Pro comp: Michael Bennett

    Grade: 93

  4. Reuben foster-LB BAMA: Foster is always flying around for the alabama defense. He has great speed for his size, speaking of size, he is a big dude. He is a great tackler, and man he can hit hard. He has great range, as he can run from sideline to sideline making plays. He is a stud and will excel at the next level.

    Grade: 92

    Pro Comp: Navarro Bowman

  5. Jamal Adams S-LSU: While Jabrill Peppers might have a higher ceiling, Jamal Adams is a much more polished Safety. He has the physical intangibles, having good size and length. He has great speed, he is a great tackler, and his range is ridiculous. He will continue to improve in coverage, but he is definitely a great prospect.

    Pro comp: Eric Berry

    Grade: 90

  6.  Dalvin cook-RB FSU: Cook is the most complete back in the draft. He has elite quickness, speed, and can get yards after contact. He has great vision, sneaky strength, and can catch out of the backfield. He has the potential to be a superstar.

    Pro Comp: Jamaal Charles

    Grade: 91

  7. Jabril Peppers-S Michigan: Peppers is different from any player I have ever scouted. He has played like 11 different positions this year and has thrived in all of them. His natural position is safety though. He is an athletic freak who can cover, tackle, and return kicks. He excels by using natural instincts to make plays. He needs to work on ball skills to become elite.  He will be a transformational player for a defense and is number 7 on my board

    Pro comp: Tyrann Mathieu

    Grade: 90

  8. Quincy Wilson- CB Florida: Though teez tabor has gotten more hype, Quincy Wilson is the better corner out of the two and the best in the draft. He has incredible ball skills, he is a fluid athlete and has good size and length. He is the complete package and will be a star.

    Pro comp: Xavier Rhodes

    Grade: 91

  9. Tim Williams EDGE BAMA: The dude just knows how to sack the QB. He is kind of a situational pass rusher at Bama, but he still gets pressure on the QB at consistent pace. The guy just needs to work on run defense but his ceiling is huge.

    Grade: 87

    Pro comp: Vic Beasley

  10. Jourdan Lewis CB Michigan:  The other stud player on the Michigan Defense, Jourdan Lewis, may be the most underrated player in the draft. He is amazing in man coverage. Has fluid hips and is just a great athlete. He has ball skills as well. Yes, he is undersized but don’t let that overshadow the fact that he is a pure cover corner who will excel at the next level

    Grade: 87

    Pro Comp: Jason Verrett

  11. Mike Williams WR Clemson: He is a great route runner and does an excellent job of creating separation and using his body to give his QB a big target to throw too. He has a bad injury history and his hands sometimes turns into rocks, where he can’t catch the ball. But overall he is the best receiving prospect in the draft

    Pro comp: Mike evans

    Grade: 87

  12.  Deshaun Watson QB Clemson: Unlike a lot of people, I still love Deshaun Watson as an NFL QB. He is just so good. He is poised at all times, he has great duel threat ability, he is a natural thrower of the ball, and his accuracy is really good. The knocks on him are arm strength (at times), Turnovers, and injury history. But he is a hard worker who will improve in these areas like Jameis Winston did. He has that “it” factor for me that no other QB in this draft has, making him the best prospect. He is also a great leader which leads to team success.

    Grade: 86

    Pro comp: Dak Prescott

  13. Zack Cunningham LB Vanderbilt

Another one of those players that I just fell in love with on tape. He is a very instinctual player, and he is very athletic and fast. He is just so fun to watch, as he flies all over the field and makes plays

    Pro comp: Lavonte David

    Grade: 86

  14. Derek Barnett DE Tennessee

Doesn’t have long arms or he isn’t that tall, but he knows how to play football. He is very strong and is an all around football player. He can Bull rush, speed rush, and stop the run

    Pro comp: Olivier Vernon

    Grade: 86

  15. Gareon Conley CB OSU

Conley is another great secondary player from Ohio State. He is tall and long and is a good athlete. He is a physical press man cover corner who uses his length well.

    Grade: 85

    Pro comp: Stephon Gilmore

Mock Draft and 15-30 coming tomorrow

NFL Mock Draft 1.0

  1. Browns: Mitch Trubisky QB UNC: I don’t love Trubisky but I can see why scouts do. He has nice size (6’3), he is athletic, has a big arm, and he very accurate. The tools are there but he isn’t polished. He is my number 3 QB, but I think he will gain buzz and go higher then he should.
  2. 49ers: Myles Garrett EDGE Texas A&M: Best player in the draft and really it isn’t close. He has a lighting quick first step, has the perfect blend of speed and size, and has a great motor. He has a variety of pass rush moves and has H.O.F. potential. He would be a great pick for the 49ers, and would be a player they could build their defense around.
  3. Jaguars: Jonathan Allen DL Alabama: He is just a complete player. He is good against the run, he is very versatile, he has pass rush moves from the interior and the edge. He is athletic and has shown leadership and experience. Adding him to Malik Jackson and Dante Fowler would be scary.
  4. Bears: Deshone Kiser QB Notre Dame: Yes, he has great physical tools. He has a big arm, big hands, sneaky athleticism, and seems to make good decisions. But his accuracy is a big question. Teams will fall in love with him and he will either be Ben Roethlisberger or Blake Bortles. The Bears need a new QB because Cutler isn’t good, so Kiser is the pick.
  5. Jets: Leonard Fornette RB LSU- He has a great combo of speed, power, and vision. He is on another level athletically compared to other players and when he is healthy, no one can stop him. He would add a dimension to the jets team that they are missing. Big play ability. He will transform the offense and the team.
  6. Bengals: Reuben Foster LB Alabama- He has the potential to be a Navarro bowman type linebacker. He has rare range, as he can run sideline to sideline. He has good speed for a linebacker, but is also a big dude and is the hardest hitter in the draft. He just destroys guys. The bengals could look for QB here, but it would be more wise to not reach and take a more immediate need.
  7. Panthers: Quincy Wilson CB Florida- Teez tabor will get all the hype, but the better corner in Florida is Quincy wilson. He is a physical corner who has great length and height. He also has good speed and great ball skills. He is the complete package as a corner and reminds me of Richard Sherman and Xavier Rhodes. Drafting him would fit an immediate need for the panthers because they really miss Josh Norman.
  8. Titans (via Rams) Jabrill peppers S Michigan- Peppers is the most interesting player in the draft. He is so versatile, he can return punts, play safety, Linebacker, or running back. But he is good at everything because he is such a great athlete. He needs to work on coverage but he will get better. Reminds me a lot of tyrann Mathieu. Titans need that kind of player on their defense that can change there team and bring a new energy to the team.
  9. Packers: Mike Williams WR Clemson- when the ball is in the air and he has great position it’s over. He is a great route runner and can make spectacular catches. When he is on, he is just so good. But sometimes his hands turn into stone. He would give Rodgers a different type of receiver then he is usually accustomed too. Reminds me of mike Evans.
  10. Saints: Teez Tabor CB Florida- not the best corner from Florida, but still one hell of a prospect. Flexible hips and aggressive. Great ball skills and is cocky in a good way. Saints need help everywhere
  11. Chargers: Jamal Adams S LSU- Jamal Adams has great range and is a good tackler. He is a work in progress in coverage but has potential. Reminds me a lot of Eric berry. Chargers need to replace weddle and Adams can fill that void.
  12. Cardinals: deshaun Watson QB Clemson- Yes he has seen his stock fall, but I think it is absolutely ridiculous how much. He has solid accuracy, but not great, he can run and pass, has a big arm, and is an exceptional leader and winner. His decision making is question maker but I think he is going to be great. Arizona needs a QB for the future and I think Watson is the guy.
  13. Titans: Zack Cunningham LB Vanderbilt- The Titans lack an athletic linebacker. Cunningham can fill that void. He is a monster, making plays all over the field. Remind me of Lavante David. Like I said, Titans just need to rebuild there defense because the QB is there.
  14. Colts: Dalvin cook RB FSU- dalvin cook is so good. He can do everything well. He is so quick and so fast. But he is also really physical and strong. He has a mean stiff arm to him, and has exceptional vision. He can also catch out of the backfield. He would add a different element to the Colts offense.
  15. Buccaneers: Corey Davis WR Western Michigan: he might not be on your radar but honestly he should be. He does everything well. No joke this guy can play. Only downside is his competition but I think his physical traits translate. The bucs need a weapon outside of Mike Evans, and I think Davis would complement Evans nicely.
  16. Bills: Cam Robinson LT Alabama- has a lot of hype coming into the year. He is dominant in the run game but his pass protection needs work. Reminds me of Ereck flowers. The bills need a right tackle and I think Robinson would be a great right tackle. (Better for right then left.) He is a nightmare of the field which could lead to a fall in the draft

16-32 coming soon
