Sorry I have not written in a while. I’ve been busy with other things, and watching the whole Fast and Furious series(I loved it). I’ve been waiting for free agency in the NBA to wrap up but it has dragged out and nothing else has really happened. So, I’ve decided to dive head first into NFL talk since pre season football is right around the corner.
NFC EAST
Giants: Will the offensive line, specifically Ereck Flowers, Improve?
Last year the Giants broke through and made the playoffs due to Odell Beckham and a strong defense. To add more balance, The giants went out and added more toys for Eli Manning to play with. Evan Engram adds a receiving element to the tight end position, and veteran star Brandon Marshall that gives them size they definitely needed. The defense, for the most part, remained intact with the exception of Jonathan Hankins, but he wasn’t a key piece so the defense should be as good as last year. There is one burning question. Will the O-line give Eli enough time to throw the ball. He had one of his worst years last year due to not having time to get the ball out of his hands. How could he utilize his weapons when he has no times. It will continually limit them to short pass stuff that doesn’t work. They need the o-line, especially blind side protector Ereck Flowers(Stretch to call him “protector).
Cowboys: Can the defense be adequate?
Everyone knows that the offense carried the cowboys last year and the defense overachieved and did just enough to win games. Zeke carried the ball a ton while in the process keeping the defense off the field. Dak Prescott is already one of the best QB’s in the NFL and the O-line is great. But the average defense got worse. They lost three starters in the secondary and lost some pass rushers to suspensions. With all the stars in the NFC east at WR, I question if the defense can hold up.
Eagles: Which Wentz do the eagles get?
The Eagles got two different Carson Wentz last year. Early in the year, he produced wins, played great and took care of the ball. After week 6, he got careless and looked like a dumb rookie. If he isn’t like he was in the beginning of the year, the Eagles will not have a great year and people will question if Early Wentz was just a fluke and if the new Wentz is what his future will look like.
Redskins: What the hell are they doing with kirk?
Only the Redskins would mess this up. Instead of signing him to a longterm contract since he is legitimately a franchise QB, they are going to let him walk. Just another dumb move by a stupid organization.
