NFC west predictions

Rams: You look at the roster and…wow this team is loaded. The offense is run by very good young QB Jared Goff and workhorse RB Todd Gurley. The receivers look nice with the addition of pro bowler Brandin Cooks. With McVay running the show, the offense is going to be explosive. They were amazing on offense, expect it to be great again. But the offense isn’t the key change on this team, its the defense. They completely overhauled their secondary, trading for pro bowlers Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib. They also signed Suh, who was a free agent, making that D-line very scary with newly paid best defensive player in the league Aaron Donald. Big year for the rams, as they look to take advantage of Goff being on a rookie deal.

49ers: The timeline for the 49ers to seriously compete has jumped significantly due to how unexpectedly great Jimmy G was. It is the main reason why everyone seems to be so excited about this team. I to, am excited. Jimmy G was great, going 7-0. The loss to Jerick McKinnon is quite unfortunate, and the receivers look underwhelming, tho Goodwin looks really good. The offensive line is improved with the addition of McGlinchey and Weston Richburg.  The defense looks descent, but I see a big jumps with Reuben Foster, Deforest Buckner, and Solomon Thomas. I don’t expect playoffs, but I do expect them to be pretty good.

Seahawks: Not excited for this team at all. I love Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin, but the rest of this offense is a mess. They lost Jimmy Graham and Paul Richardson, the offensive line is still a mess, and I don’t like their first round pick, Rashaad Penny. The defense looks downright embarrassing. I look around, and besides Bobby Wagner, KJ Wright, and Frank Clark, I don’t really recognize anyone. The secondary went from the legion of boom, to the legion of doom. The whole Earl Thomas situation is messy. This team will not be good, and I can see Pete Carroll being shown the door at the end of the season.

Cardinals: I don’t trust Sam Bradford. He is incredibly average when he does play, and that is until he ultimately gets hurt, forcing rookie QB Josh Rosen to start, and I don’t like starting rookie QB’s with bad o-lines. Their offensive line is horrible. Fitz seems to be timeless but there is not much behind him. David Johnson is back so yay. The defense looks pretty good. I like Chandler Jones will compete for DPOY, and the secondary looks pretty good led by stud Patrick Peterson, but there are holes all over. With a new coach, I see a transition year for Arizona.
