• cardinals will bounce back after rough 1st game

•  They still have the best roster in the nfl

• Jameis winston cementing himself as a top 10 QB

•  watch out for the bucs attacking the cardinals number 2 cornerback

• looks like one of those typical bad Doug Martin years

• Matt Ryan continues to underwhelm

•  Julio Jones will have a big game

• Derek Carr is gonna have a field day on this defense

• falcons might win just because they are desperate.

• the defense will harass Andrew luck

• von Miller will have 2+ sacks

• the colts defense will look even worse

• they will stick around because Andrew luck always plays well against the Broncos

packers 24 – Vikings 21

• Vikings defense will keep them in the game

• Sam Bradford will make mistakes

• Aaron Rodgers will have a nice day

• as will the packers defense, which is a must start in fantasy

• was last week a fluke for AP, or the beginning of the end?

NFL week 2 picks 1:00

Giants 31 – saints 27

• will be very high scoring

• both wide receiver groups will have huge games especially Odell beckham

• the Giants really addressed their defense, while the saints defense is still bad.

• drew Brees seems the have elis number, but the Giants win today.

Lions 34 – Titans 20

• Stafford, with protection, will pick apart the Titans defense

• let’s see if mariota can bounce back after a rough first game.

• this game will be close but lions will pull away late.

• lions look like a real playoff contender.

Redskins 24 – cowboys 21

• “must win” for both teams.

• cowboys can’t afford to fall to 0-2 in the division.

• while the redskins can’t fall to 0-2 after two home games.

• dez vs Norman is going to be a good matchup.

Texans 27 – Chiefs 20

• Texans have looked a lot more dynamic

• while the Chiefs look like the same old boring Chiefs.

• both teams are more similar then people would think.

• even though chiefs have done it before, since the Texans are home I’ll go with the Texans.

Patriots 20 – Dolphins 13

• Tannehill continues to disappoint Even with gase as the new coach.

• Dolphins defense looked really good

• jimmy garappolo looked like a franchise guy.

• the patriots are winning this game.

Ravens 20 – browns 17

• this game will be a defensive struggle

• I really don’t like both these offenses

• I won’t be looking forward to watching this game.

Panthers 31 -49ers 17

• cam will bounce back and dominate

• last week for the 49ers was a fluke

• but I still like the defense

• Benjamin and Olsen will dominate.

Steelers 24 – bengals 17

• gonna be a struggle due to weather

•  I love watching this game because they hate each other

• Steelers offense is too good

• lack of weapons will hurt the bengals

NFL week 1 takeaways

Broncos 21 – panthers 20

• Trevor siemien looks pretty solid

• cj Anderson looks thin and fresh

• the broncos defense was again dominant

• cam Newton missed kelvin benjamin

• cam still needs work in throwing from pocket

• the refs were awful with all the helmet to helmet hits on cam Newton and didn’t treat him like he is the MVP

Packers 27 – Jaguars

• the packers issues from last year are still here and Jordy Nelson can’t solve all of them

• packers will heavily rely on Rodgers again

• Jaguars can hang with big boys but defense still has questions

• Jaguars offense is explosive

• why throw a screen pass on 4th and 1 to win the game?

Ravens 13 – bills 7

• I’m sorry I didn’t watch it I fell asleep during it because it was so boring

• just kidding

• tyrod taylor may have regressed as a passer

• lesean McCoy looks healthy

• joe Flacco’s arm still works but doesn’t trust knees yet.

•  Mike Wallace and joe flaccid were a match made in heaven

• welcome to the NFL Breshad perriman what a catch!

Texans 24 – bears 13

• Alston Jeffery looked good

• as well did the bears free agent acquisitions Trevathan and freeman

• osweiler was very solid

• wide receiver of Hopkins and fuller could be dangerous.

• Lamar miller is going to be there workhorse

Eagles 29 – browns 10

• Carson wentz looks fantastic

• so did Jordan Matthews and the defense

• RGIII is continuely proving his doubters right.

• the browns have the worst roster in the NFL

• the fact that the Browns passed on wentz and he beats them badly week 1 is hilarious to me.

Buccaneers 31 – falcons 24

• Jameis Winston will be a top 5 quarterback in the NFL for sure.

• the bucs will be a big threat to the panthers.

• devonta freeman is very overrated

• the falcons cant generate a pass rush to save there life

• the bucs did whatever they wanted in the passing game throughout the game.

Vikings 25- Titans 16

• Titans are at least another year away

•  Marcus mariota was a disaster

• so was the Titans defense

• the Vikings defense has a chance to carry them.

• but it looks like age catches up to you even if you are Adrian Peterson.

Bengals 23 – jets 22

• AJ green destroyed darelle revis.

• Ryan Fitzpatrick had his struggles.

• Nick folk also had big issues.

• Andy dalton looks pretty solid, again.

• The bengals need another weapon besides green.

Raiders 35 – saints 34

• both quarterbacks had huge days

• so did the best receivers (cooper;cooks)

•  jack del rio has some big guts going for two.

• every game is going to be a shootout for the saints.

Chiefs 33 – chargers 27

• the Chiefs, despite a nice comeback, looked old.

• Allen getting hurt is a huge blow.

• spencer ware might just be a great running back.

•  the AFC west may just be just the Broncos and the raiders to win.

Seahawks 12 – Dolphins 10

• Russell Wilson has to save the Seahawks once again.

• the Seahawks constantly play down the competition.

• the Dolphins defense was also stout

• if Adam gase can’t fix Ryan Tannehill no one can.

• so I guess he is unfixable.

giants 20- cowboys 19

• Terrance Williams is a moron

• the Giants defense looks as good as it’s offense.

• Eli manning is in mid season form.

• Give odell the damn ball!

• the dline is a top 5 unit in football.

• dak Prescott is solid, but why he won’t win a lot of games is because he doesn’t take risks downfield like romo does.

Lions 39 – colts 35

• Matt stafford has taken the big step.

• Andrew luck also proved me wrong.

• Megatron who?

• colts defense is the worst in the NFL.

Patriots 23 – cardinals 21

• cardinals looked rusty.

• jimmy g looks legit

• cardinals are still my super bowl pick

• Carson palmer looked old and stolid.

Steelers 38 – redskins 16

• cousins didn’t look like an franchise guy.

•Big Ben- Antonio combo is still dynamic

• deangelo Williams looked 23 with 143 yards and 2 touchdowns.

• josh Norman was scared of Antonio brown.

• the score doesn’t indicate how close the game was.

49ers 28 – Rams 0

• look at the score…..

• Rams offense sucked

• 49er defense looked sharp

• Jeff fisher should be fired.

Week 1 later day picks

Giants 23- Cowboys 20: I think giants go to Dallas and steal one. Dak won’t be as good as advertised and Eli- Odell and new defense will get it done.

Colts 30 – Lions 27: I think Andrew Luck and Matthew Stafford have field days. But I think the home team pulls it out.

Seahawks 35 – Dolphins 17: please, the Seahawks aren’t losing this game.

Cardinals 27 – patriots 20: the pats had a while to prepare and still have a great defense but the cardinals are too talented.

Redskins 26- steelers 24: the steelers are better but on the road without Le’veon bell.

NFL week 1 1:00 picks

Saints 35- raiders 31: this is going to be a high scoring game with two big time offenses but I think the saints pull out the upset in the high scoring affair.

Eagles 20 – Browns 17: both these teams are terrible. I think this is whoever plays worse will lose. I think this is a low scoring defensive battle that the Eagles win late

Titans 17 – Vikings 14: same thing as the Eagles game. This will be low scoring, boring, and a lot of running. Titans start the season with a win.

Chiefs 27 – chargers 20: yes a lot of the Chiefs key players are out. But they are virtually impossible to beat in arrowhead, and Andy Reid will have the team ready.

Jets 24 – bengals 21: bengals are missing weapons on offense so there only real proven guy is AJ green. The defense is still great, but I think the jets come out hyped up in front of there home crowd and steal one late.

Falcons 23 – bucs 20: the Falcons always start out hot and then cool off. I think Julio will be too much of a mismatch even though I love the bucs and Winston this year.

Ravens 27 – bills 23: this game will be close but the Ravens are home so I’ll go with them. Plus the bills don’t seem too buttoned up so ill go with the better coach.

Texans 30- bears 23: the Texans have looked really good with all there new acquisitions plus JJ watt is playing so I like the Texans at home.

Packeds 31- Jaguars 20: Rodgers> bortles

NFL Power Rankings #22

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars were a team that could put a points and big numbers, but really did it by always throwing the ball because they were always behind.  In the offseason, they were the winners of the offseason, by getting two top 5 talents, Jalen Ramsey and Myles jack, in the draft. They are also getting last year’s first round pick Dante Fowler. They also signed big name free agents like Malik Jackson, Prince Amukamara, Tashaun Gibson, Kelvin Beachum, and Chris Ivory. Let’s look at the upcoming roster. Blake Bortles is definitely a quarterback on the rise. He put up huge numbers last year with 4428 yards and 35 touchdowns. Those numbers are a little inflated because they were always behind, but with a more talented roster, let’s see how well he does. Maybe less passing attempts more wins. The running back situation is solid. Both Chris Ivory and T.J. Yeldon can carry the load so let’s see who gets the majority of the carries. The wide receivers are also really good. Allen Robinson is a monster. Great Speed-size combination. Allen Hurns is a great number 2. They really have a young exciting offense and it’s going to be fun to see them grow and develop together for the next couple years. The tight end has a big name in Julius Thomas, but has trouble staying healthy. The oline is bad. They signed Beachum from the steelers and lets see how he mixes with Joeckel (Major Bust), Linder, Cann, and Parnell. Ouch. The defense has a LOT of talent, but most of them have little experience together. The dline is potentially good. They have three new pieces, with Dante Fowler, Malik Jackson, and Yannick Ngakoue joining Jared Odrick and Roy Miller as a rotation. The linebackers are good too. Telvin Smith is a young stud for them, Paul Posluszny and dan Skuta serve as serviceable starters. Myles Jack could eventually start as he is a young stud. The cornerbacks have a lot of talent as well. Jalen Ramsey is a stud and a futute HOF type talent. Reminds me so much of Richard Sherman. Behind him are veterans like Prince Amukamara and Davon House. Tashaun Gibson and John Cyprien complete an ultra talented defense. There is so much talent, but the youth on the roster and a lot of these players have no experience playing with each other, so I think one more year and then they will explode.

Record: 6-10

NFL Power Rankings #23

The chargers have had a bad offseason. The main storyline of last year was injuries, injuries, and more injuries. The storyline in the offseason was the whole joey bosa mess. They won’t have there first round pick for the whole year and might actually lose him to the draft over a few million dollar difference in guaranteed money. Makes me think that there are some serious money troubles in san diego. They are a mess of a franchise. Let’s look at the roster. The QB situation is still really good. Philip Rivers is still a top 10 quarterback, and a guy who can guide a team with a not a ton of talent to the playoffs. He is just a great quarterback, just watch him play he is great. The running backs are one of the worst in the nfl. Danny Woodhead is a great #2 running back, like Darren Sproles, but can’t be their number one. Melvin Gordon was a “sure thing” in the draft last year and was seen by everyone to be a safer pick then Gurley, but he was terrible last year and it was a hard transition for him into the NFL. The Wide Receivers are pretty good. Keenan Allen is a pretty good #1 wide receiver, and he catches everything. He is a perfect fit with Rivers who loves guys who runs good routes and catches everything and thats Allen. Behind him, Travis Benjamin was good for the browns, and now a good deep threat for them and they also signed james jones who is solid. The tight ends are really good. Antonio Gates is still a very good tight end, and they drafted his successor in Hunter Henry from Arkansas. The Oline is not good. Matt Slauson is a great center, and Joe Barksdale is a good Right Tackle but the rest of the oline isn’t good. Orlando Franklin was a huge disappointment after being a pro bowler for the broncos, and the chargers are hoping he can bounce back. DJ Fluker and King Dunlap aren’t very good as well. The Dline is not good. Darius Philon is awful. Brandon Mebane was okay for the Seahawks, and let’s see if he translates. Corey Luiget has never lived up to his potential and continues to underwhelm. The Linebackers are good. Denzel Perriman was really good, Manti te’o was really bad. The OLB are good as well. Melvin Ingram is really good and Jerry Attaochu is pretty good. The corners are good. Jason Verrett is a stud and a top ten corner in the nfl, and they signed Casey Hayward to be opposite of him. There safeties are not good since they lost Eric Weddle. Dwight Lowery is solid, but Jahleel Addae is bad. Overall this is a team that has the key players like Rivers, Allen, and Verrett, but don’t have a good enough roster overall to compete for the playoffs.

NFL Power Rankings #24

Atlanta Falcons: The Atlanta Falcons were very up and down last year. They started 5-0 and looked like super bowl contenders. But then they kind of fell of a cliff and ended the season 8-8. Devonta Freeman broke out and had a huge season. Julio Jones had a big year. Matt Ryan had his ups and downs. The falcons were a team that was very inconsistent. They added Alex Mack, a great center and had a draft were they drafted for need over value. Lets look at the roster. The quarterback position is solid and pretty average. Matt Ryan had a really high grade on PFF, but watching him last year, I thought he was really average and had the worst year of the year. The running back position is good. Devonta Freeman is pretty good, not really good, but above average. He is great out of the backfield. Tevin Coleman is a talented backup. The wide receivers are top heavy but have NO depth. Julio Jones is an absolute monster. He is physically dominant and amazing. But after him there is nobody. The bengals have wanted Sanu to play better his whole career but he has shown flashes but no consistency. Everyone talks about Justin Hardy and how he is really good but he had like 6 catches last year. Behind those three, there is nobody. The tight ends are bad. The oline is really good. Jake matthews and Ryan Schraeder are great tackles. The guards are really good too. Levitre and chris chester. The center is great in Alex Mack. The defense has potential, but not proven yet. The dline has its good parts and bad parts. Derrick Shelby was a nice acquisition from the Dolphins. He will be good. Tyson Jackson is below average. Grady Jarrett was a very good rookie last year and has nice potential. Brooks reed disappointed last year and is looking to bounce back. But overall the dline is good. The linebackers are unproven but all have talent. Deion Jones was a second round pick and is very athletic but isn’t a natural football player. Devondre Campbell is a nice player but isn’t experienced. Vic Beasley is playing the SAM after playing DE last year so let’s see if he can translate to a new position. The cornerbacks are really good with Desmond Trufant and Robert Alford. The safeties are also pretty good in Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen. The Falcons have talent but I’m not sure with the mixture of change and the schedule that if they can make the playoffs this year.
